Approvals & Certifications
C-TEC is the only UK fire panel manufacturer to have obtained third-party product certifications and factory process approvals from the LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board), VdS and BSI (British Standards Institute).
Third-party product certification is independent confirmation that a product meets and continues to meet appropriate standards. Such certifications exist to assist end users and building owners in meeting their legal obligations under, for example, the Fire Safety (Regulatory Reform) Order, a note to which reads “Third party certification of fire protection products and related services are an effective means of providing the fullest possible assurances, offering a level of quality, reliability and safety that non-certificated products may lack.” Many insurance companies also insist on third-party approved life-safety products.

C-TEC's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)
In addition to the above listed product certifications, the Quality Management System at C-TEC's manufacturing headquarters in Stephens Way, Wigan, is certified to ISO 9001: 2008 by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (certificate number 176, Issue 8).
C-TEC’s QMS system is a set of documented policies, processes and procedures that allows it to control the quality of its products and services. In order to comply with IS0 9001: 2008, the system is regularly audited by the LPCB to ensure it is effectively implemented.
C-TEC’s QMS system has been accredited by the LPCB since 1994, initially to BS5750 pt 1 and then ISO 9000.
