Slalom success for C-TEC sponsored ski star
David Ryding, the C-TEC sponsored international ski star, has triumphed
yet again by winning the Men’s Slalom title in the 2008 British
Land National Ski Championships.
The super-talented 21 year old took overall first place in the Slalom
with a very impressive 1 minute 33.81 seconds over two runs. Held in
the heart of the French Alps at Meribel, the Championships are traditionally
the place where the up and coming stars of British ski racing attempt
to upstage established names and secure the much sought after British
titles.
Says David: “Winning the title was absolutely thrilling for
me and I am still on cloud nine! I would like to thank all my coaches,
sponsors and especially everyone at C-TEC for their ongoing support
and encouragement.”
Comments C-TEC’s Managing Director, Andrew Foster, a keen skier
himself: “We are incredibly proud to be associated with David.
He truly is an inspiring role model to young people and his latest
successes show what hard work and dedication can achieve”.
The company has sponsored David for four years now and watched his
star soar during that time. Says Andrew Foster: "David’s
talent is amazing and the financial support C-TEC provides will hopefully
assist him in achieving his ultimate ambition - to compete in the 2010
Olympic Games in Vancouver".
