A 3 to 4 hour course for all those involved in fire detection installation and design including specialist fire installers and fire sales engineers. It aims to provide delegates with a solid understanding of installing, maintaining and commissioning analogue addressable fire panels and encompasses a full demonstration of C-TEC's XFP fire panel; an explanation of the inner workings of the panel (boards, power supplies, etc); access levels; system programming; upload/download software; and more. The final hour of the course is devoted to our CFP conventional fire panel.
An intensive 3 to 4 hour session intended for those working principally in engineering and sales, designed to offer an in-depth understanding of the installation, maintenance and commissioning of the Quantec addressable call system. It covers: why, where and how Quantec can be used?; a basic overview of the Quantec Controller; overview of devices (i.e., call points, displays, etc); system wiring; different access levels for engineer, end user, etc.; programming - how to add and remove devices from the system; upload/download software, plus an overview of the Quantec Surveyor data analysis software package.
This 3 to 4 hour course begins with our CPD certified 'Hearing Assistance Solutions: The Route to DDA Compliance' seminar whilst the remainder of the course gives a detailed overview of C-TEC's PDA range of induction loop systems. Ideal for installers, sales professionals, engineers and architects, the course covers: what the DDA recommends; how auxiliary aids such as sound reinforcement, infrared, radio and audio-frequency induction loop systems work; a history of the telecoil and induction loop systems; why loop systems are used and are useful; a detailed overview of the PDA RANGE of induction loop amplifiers, system testing to British standards; AFILS installation and low overspill loop designs.
This 3 to 4 hour course begins with our CPD certified 'Voice Alarm System Design' course before going into more detail on our AVAC and Integrity voice alarm systems. The CPD certified element aims to give attendees a general understanding of VA systems and covers the relevant standards, summarises the types of equipment and solutions available and gives practical advice on loudspeaker placement and other key issues based on the requirements of BS 5839-8. The remainder of the course gives practical installation and commissioning advice on our AVAC voice alarm system which is ideal for small to medium sized applications in hotels, leisure centres, licensed premises etc., followed by similar information on our Integrity 2-64 zone VA, PA and BGM system which is ideal for sites requiring complex audio routing such as theatres, hotels, exhibition halls and shopping centres.
Current building regulations insist all new non-domestic buildings with more than one storey provide refuge areas - relatively safe places where people who cannot easily use fire escapes or evacuation lifts can call for assistance and wait until help arrives. Effective, two-way voice communication between these areas and a manned control room is essential. This hour-long CPD certified seminar explains in simple terms where and why such systems are required and how to design and install a system that complies with BS 5839-9. It covers:- system categories; standards and regulations; criteria and location of disabled refuge and fire telephone ‘outstations’; mandatory requirements of BS 5839-9; what you need to know before specifying/installing an EVC system
With fire protection in housing blocks, flats, apartments and other HMOs making the news for all the wrong reasons in recent months, this hour-long CPD certified seminar explains how C-TEC's award-winning BS5839-6 Hush Button fire alarm solution is assisting landlords and building managers in better protecting their properties whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. It provides an overview of the current solutions available for reducing false alarms in HMOS and other areas by using mixed, conventional and hush systems. In addition to covering the areas highlighted, our technical managers will be only too happy to go through any other products you may be interested in or offer more in-depth technical training at the end of each session.
